This was a close game across all 4 rinks with Dan Rogers, Kieran Jaycock & Roger Crick going in to the last end level at 10-10 and they managed to get shot to win 11-10. This was a strange game which saw only a single shot being achieved on every end apart from one where we picked up a 4. The other game at home saw a much more convincing result with Lee Adams, Thomas Jaycock and Lewis Fletcher picking up 2 5's in their game on their way to a 30-9 win. In the away games Josh Henly, Pete Coyne & Paul Rogers got off to a slow start and didn't get ahead until the 12th end when they were 9-8 ahead and they extended their lead to 14-9 with 2 ends to go and despite dropping a 3 on the last end they managed to hold on for a 14-13 win. With the scores level at 19-19 he then dropped a 2 to lose his game. Philip Reeves played the 2 Wood singles tonight and this was a tight game for the first 12 ends but then Chesham just started to get the better of the ends and went on to win 15-10. John Read & Lewis Fletcher took an early lead in the pairs and despite Chesham getting back in to the game we picked up a 4 on the 17th end to take a 5 shot lead in to the last end and we finished up wining 17-13 to level the match at 1-1. In the triples Bryan Collins, Kevin Lewis & Thomas Jaycock looked comfortable until they dropped a 5 on the 11th end which brought the score back level and this seemed to knock their confidence as they only managed to win 1 more end in the game and lost 21-15. In the fours Josh Henly, Ian Culmer, Pete Coyne & Paul Rogers raced to a 10-3 lead after just 5 ends and they never gave up the lkead despite losing 4 ends in a row late on in the game and they held on for a 17-14 win to level the match at 2-2. The last game to finish was the 4 bowl singles which was being played by Roger Crick and started late after the 2 Wood had finished. This started off as a close game however once Roger took the lead he always looked in control and managed to pick up the win 21-13 to give Broadway the 3-2 win and a place in the next round away to Iver Heath.
